Direct Support Professional Positions (DSP)
Overview: DSPs will assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in learning, growing, and achieving greater independence to lead fulfilling lives.
Duties: The DSP will:

Ensure risk plans are implemented accurately and safely.

Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, toileting, cooking, and cleaning.

Maintain a safe and healthy living environment.

Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals.

Properly utilize adaptive equipment.
-
Administer medications in accordance with established guidelines.
-
Carry out treatment plans within the defined scope of practice.

Promote community engagement and participation for those served.

Communicate effectively with team members.

Document information accurately and in a timely manner.

Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior to the support team.

Help individuals with their cleaning tasks or perform cleaning duties as needed.

Provide transportation and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and shopping.

Fulfill additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
